The continuing evolution of Juventus’ 3-5-2 formation

Massimiliano Allegri has stuck with the 3-5-2 formation since the departure of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo. The 3-5-2 is not popular in the modern era. Very few top teams in Europe play this formation.

Many have suggested that Juventus should abandon its 3-5-2 formation and return to a 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 formation.
